Planning​
All children are encouraged to develop to their full potential at their individual pace, by means of appropriate play activities, experiences and adult focused support. Activities are planned and developed based around the children's interests and for the individual child under the prime and specific areas of learning.
​2 Year Old Pre-School Room
​
This room is for children aged from 2 to 3 years old. This room has age appropriate toys and resources and a higher ratio of staff to support and nurture our younger children as they start their pre-school journey with us. This nurturing ethos at Cygnets builds lovely, trusting relationships between the children, their families and the staff members which in turn encourages all children to develop self- esteem, self confidence, independence and expression. Having opportunities for all children to interact with others their own age and allowing the individual to develop social and communication skills.
3 Year Old Pre-School Room

This room is for children aged from 3 to 4 years old. This is for our children who will be preparing to be school ready when they leave us. Our nurturing ethos continues in this room building further on our relationships with the children, their families and the staff members and with encouragement, support and through our teaching and learning with the children they will further develop their self-esteem, confidence, independence and expression. Providing opportunities for all children to interact with others their own age allowing the individual to develop social and communication skills in preparation for formal schooling.
